Tools are collectible items that allow Cid Marquez use new abilities in battle. Most Tools can be purchased in Tool Shops, but some must be obtained by other methods. As a rule, Tools do not cost MP to use in battle.

| Debilitator | 7,500 Gil | Reduces Magic Defense of a single enemy by 25%. This effect can be applied up to two times on a single enemy. | |
| Flashbang | 8,000 Gil | Inflicts Darkness on all enemies. | |
| Deconstructor | 10,000 Gil | Nullifies any beneficial status conditions affecting the target. | |
